The Strategic Sourcing Analyst (SSA) will be responsible for all aspects of supplier contract management in the information technology category. Strategic Sourcing Analysts have procurement experience and possess knowledge in procurement and strategic sourcing activities. They demonstrate potential in growing and increasing their proficiency. They work independently but receive guidance on work assignments and may work on and/or lead assignments or projects.
Serves as a liaison between Procurement and a variety of business units
Work with internal customers to turn business requirements into contractual supplier relationships
Conducts industry research on best in class suppliers for their sourcing responsibility
Meets regularly with internal clients to understand their future purchasing plans and needs
Participates in forecasting activities and generate reports and updates
Negotiates and redlines supplier contract for price, terms, conditions, etc. (within established limits of authority)
Places purchase orders with suppliers and ensures the timely delivery of those goods and services
Communicates procurement activities and results throughout the process to business owners
Maintains specific supplier relationships and ensuring contract performance
Maintains a system of records relative to contracts, purchase orders and approvals
Manages a list of contract renewal to ensure timely execution
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of work-related experience, or 4 years equivalent work-related experience
Experience in managing technical contracts, including negotiation, redlining, and evaluating terms and conditions
3 to 5 years of procurement experience
Procurement, supply chain, or negotiation experience
Procurement experience in information technology related fields a plus
Procurement related certifications (i.e. ISM CPSM, APICS, CSCP, etc), or pursuit is highly desired
