Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support plant production through troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of manufacturing equipment and fixtures through preventive maintenance procedures and root cause diagnosis
Troubleshoots, repairs and perform preventative maintenance on medical device manufacturing equipment, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, motor and machine controls and basic electronics.  
Resolves issues related to equipment, process, compliance; Performs unscheduled maintenance and respond to trouble calls in a timely manner.  
Performs daily preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operational.
Works in a safe manner at all times and is trained in Arc Flash, Lock Out Tagout, Basic Electrical safety, Ladder Safety, and other plant programs.
Ensure work order system and requirements are followed including pre-approvals, sign-off, and closed out properly.  Document all work in CMMS as required.
Responsible to maintain spare parts inventory of their assigned area.
Strict adherence to safety and manufacturing SOP, policies and procedures to ensure safe and quality products are produced at all times.
Perform modification, upgrades, and new install of equipment and machines.
Participates in department and site continuous improvements projects. 
Lead certain team activities for example work prioritization, shift pass-downs, project execution, OTIF and T2 participation.
All other tasks assigned as required to support plant production.
 ','!*!Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or two year degree preferred.

5-8 years experience in facility/ manufacturing/production maintenance

Must have good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of cGMP regulations.  Good procedural writing skills.

Good computer skills (Microsoft Windows based software, e-mail, Excel, Word, internet sites, and PDFs.)

Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).  Maximo preferred

Experience with programmable logic controls (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron).

Experience with variable speed drives, servos, high speed packaging equipment, and pneumatic systems.  

Candidate must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and part diagrams.

Working knowledge photo eyes/sensors, limit switches, proximity switches, temperature controllers and Inkjet printers preferred. 

Maintenance knowledge of high speed manufacturing/packaging equipment to include pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment, conveyors and continuous inkjet printers a plus.

Electrical knowledge and experience with AC/DC motors and drives, electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, relays, switches, sensors, valves, and servo motors.

The incumbent must work in a clean room environment wearing special garments.  Additionally, personal protective equipment must be worn due to safety requirements.
