We’re looking for a Software Engineering Manager who is tenacious about understanding what developers need and brings positive energy to help the team move forward. You’ll work closely with the Xamarin, Visual Studio, .NET Core teams and work on technologies which power these fantastic developer’s tools to make the experience even better.

Monitor and enforce technical design in accordance with Microsoft policies and standards.

Stay current on industry best practices and the latest technologies relevant to Microsoft’s environment and roadmap.

Plan and prioritize work for your team, including collaborating with other partner teams.

Accurately estimate the work and time required to complete development related tasks.

Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings.

Work closely with Engineers and Product Management throughout organization to influence product development assisting or improving products.


Basic Qualifications:

5 years of Professional Software design and development experience in C/C / C# / or Java

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Great collaboration skills, we have partner teams across the company and globe with which you will be working closely

Demonstrated commitment to the success of others, as a leader in the team you will be expected to mentor and manage junior developers

Strong leadership and team coordination skills

Excellent communication skills including high English proficiency

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
