POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance of product being manufactured through product evaluation, testing and evaluation of production documentation. In addition, this position will assist operations with non-conforming product and customer complaints investigations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs receiving, in-process and/or final inspection and testing activities for manufactured products as required to ensure product quality;
Performs completion of required paperwork, updated of associated product status, data entry and filing of associated documentation;
Communicates quality related problems to Quality management, Operations and Supply Chain as required;
Performs quality related software transactions in applicable ERP or other software applications;
Assists with non-conforming product disposition in manufacturing area;
Assists operations with NC investigation events and customer complaints evaluations;
logs critical failures into complaint spreadsheet for tracking purposes;
Effectively maintain all quality data in a retrievable state to support continuous improvement activities;
Works with production to solve customer/product issues as necessary in a team-based environment; .

Performs other random quality inspection and testing activities as needed.
Provides feedback in process improvement projects to reduce non-conforming events
Support with document control of manufacturing work instructions and records.
Provide support with validation activities such as quality inspection and data reporting using MS – Excel, MS – Word.
Documents quality data using good documentation practices both manually and electronically.
Receives and separates returned products into designated area for “returned products”.
Performs quality inspection and/or process audit on the manufacturing floor as needed
Assesses applicable information and merchandise to determine accuracy of customer returns;
Forwards products returned as complaints to the Complaint Administrator;
Maintains an open line of communication with customer service;
Supports the development and maintenance of applicable standard operational procedures and work instructions;
Maintains compliance to all applicable standard operational procedures and work instructions;
Assists with audit preparation activities for various audits;
Follows established company policies, procedure and applicable health and safety policies;
Commitment to Dentsply Sirona values and strategic goals; and
Performs other duties as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Ability to read, write and communicate in English;
Ability to use basic and complex QC testing equipment;
Computer skills (MS Office and more);
Ability to learn software applications used in-house;
Technical writing experience required;
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited information exists;
Must have excellent problem solving, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision;
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications;
Ability to communicate effectively with others through both written and oral communication;
Ability to use and interpret inspection and measurement equipment;
Ability to prioritize and multitask as well as meet deadlines;
Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities and contributes to building a positive team environment;
Dependability and ability to adapt to change is essential; and
Must be detailed oriented.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (SPECIALIZED):
Previous Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience in medical device or similar industry;
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP);
Working knowledge of sampling plans (ANSI, AQL, etc.) preferred;
Ability to differentiate between products;
Orthodontic product knowledge a plus; and
Use of statistical tools is a plus.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED is required;
Associates Degree Preferred; and
Medical Device experience preferred;
