Job Description
POSITIONS SUMMARY – Process Engineer
Within Exterran Water Solutions ULC, an Exterran Company, the Water Treatment Process Engineer has experience in Oil industry related to all operations including pumping, oil water separation, de-oiling, skimming, filtration, softening applicable to secondary produced water. Reporting to the Engineering Lead, the Process Engineer is responsible for water related process studies, preparation of process flow diagrams, design and engineering involving simulations, design calculations, and equipment sizing.
Understand client requirements and specifications for water treatment packages
Preparation of Technical Proposals and support preparation of RFQs
Execute Feasibility Studies / Conceptual Design / Process Studies
Prepare technical study reports based on lab trials, work closely with R&D team
Design Calculations; equipment sizing and preparation of data sheets.
Definition of standard products and packages
Development of PFD,P&IDand GAs
Prepare process descriptions, control narratives, load list , heat and mass balance sheets, operating manuals etc.
Represent EWS at Design review and HAZOP meetings with client, conduct internal HAZOP reviews
Support the Project Manager, proposals and project engineering team on all technical requirements for assigned projects; Ensure that the deliverables provided to the project are technically accurate, within scope, and in compliance with quality procedures and project plans.
Support R&D activities in the shop, collect data, observations, analyze lab results, prepare technical report for the tests
Adept at writing technical reports and scopes of work
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent writing and communications skills; able to represent the company in
Client and Supplier meetings
Proficient with MS Office software and various engineering software programs
Collaboration with project team to determine and achieve project objectives
Well versed with P&IDs, GA’s and PFDs
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 5 to 10 years relevant Process Engineering experience
Produced Water Experience is required
Experience with membrane technology is desirable
A strong and broad knowledge of engineering; well versed with inter-discipline workflow

Highly comfortable in a demanding – dynamic environment

Excellent communicator
Excels in a Team Environment
Able to multi-task across projects
Be available for International travel including site visits
Proactively identifies and recommends areas for process improvement within the organization
