Job Description
A growing national personal injury law firm has an immediate opening for an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance through all phases of the litigation process, in various state and federal courts across the country.
This is a fully remote opportunity and requires that the candidate have excellent technology and computer skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Answer a multi-line phone and complete new client intakes Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts in a professional and proficient manner Day-to-day case management duties Assisting with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings, including Complaints, Motions, and Briefs Request and obtain medical records Draft correspondence, demand packages, and pleadings Coordinating the collection, review, and production of documents and responding to discovery requests, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, Requests for Admissions, etc. Assist with trial preparation
Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent technology and computer skills Excellent organization skills Punctual Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow directions and procedures Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to prioritize workload and assignments Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure Ability to work in a confidential environment, maintaining client confidentiality at all times
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certificate, from an ABA-accredited program, preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience 2-3 years experience as a civil litigation paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting, preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) Proficiency with various software programs: Office 365, Sharepoint, Pacer, Adobe, and Westlaw, preferred Experience in the following states is preferred, but not required: Pennsylvania, California, New York, New Jersey, and Florida
