ManTech International seeks a Task Operations Lead who will manage the day to day operations of several contracted communications and outreach support activities in support of the National Science Foundation (NSF)’s Division of Institution and Award Support Policy Office. The position's primary duties will include overseeing and leading logistics support for semi-annual conferences to include: venue comparison and selection, email marketing, budgeting, registration and payment management (etouches.com), public relations, financial tracking, development and/or oversight of various event related materials such as the website and conference pamphlet, and other event management activities. The Task Operations Lead will manage a small staff and have other team members and/or subcontractors matrixed to him or her to support the project as needed. He or she will serve as the primary liaison between Mantech and a key government customer. Other duties will likely include assisting the Task Lead with: annual outreach planning, contract budgeting, CRM oversight and management, webcast planning and oversight, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. On occasion, the Task Operations lead may be asked to lead the development of standard operating procedures for other tasks on the project.

QUALIFICATIONS

The right candidate will have:

Bachelor’s in business, communications, marketing, or similar field and 6-8 years of consulting experience with at least one year of management in a consulting environment. Experience with NSF or another grant making government organization is a plus.
Successful track record managing events that includes: online registration and campaign management, email marketing, vendor negotiation and coordination, budget development and tracking, and onsite set up and management.
Experience with cleaning and managing contact databases using Excel and customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce.com.
Experience updating websites using a Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress and a basic knowledge of html.
Strong proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Extreme attention to detail.
The ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments.
Strong work ethic.
An ongoing, dedicated commitment to product quality and superior customer service.

Special consideration will be given to candidates who have:

Experience incorporating "New Media" into outreach planning such as video, and social media, and some technical knowledge in this area.
Experience with writing and editing articles for newsletters or other publications (and selecting accompanying photos, graphics or other visuals) that together make the material interesting and accessible for an audience of varying subject matter expertise and backgrounds.
A basic knowledge of graphic design and publication layout, and professional experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
Familiarity with following AP or other writing style guides.
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or project-related certifications.
Experience successfully developing, documenting and rolling out policy and standard operating procedures to an organization.
