Innovative, Technology-Enabled Law Firm Seeking a Part-Time Insurance Defense Attorney to Handle Assignments Throughout Wisconsin
We are seeking an attorney with a minimum of 10 years of insurance defense experience and subject matter expertise in general liability (emphasis in premises liability) and auto liability insurance defense to join the firm in a part-time, Of Counsel (independent contractor) position. First chair trial experience is strongly preferred.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified attorney seeking to supplement his/her income with part-time work. There is also the possibility of the current opening evolving into a full-time position over time.
Our firm has always employed a remote (work-from-home) model for our attorneys and most of our support staff. Hickey Smith Dodd attorneys are supported by a full staff of paralegals, legal case assistants, docket and calendar clerks, file clerks, etc.
Our software applications (matter management system, document management system, etc.) are maintained in a cloud-based environment which firm personnel can access from virtually anywhere an Internet connection is available. We are heavily invested in the use of technology to improve the efficacy and efficiency of the practice of law, and our practice is largely paperless. Therefore, candidates should be comfortable using technology in the practice of law and/or a willingness to learn new technologies.
