Lead Field Marketing Manager
The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) is responsible for driving the regional plan, national marketing campaigns and national programs that improve sales productivity and ultimately lead to acquiring new network customers and to up-selling new strategic and managed services to existing accounts. This position will develop and deliver tactics that drive high utilization and significant, measurable results from marketing programs, campaigns and tactics in order to move prospects and customers through the sales cycle to meet CenturyLink’s sales and revenue targets. The FMM role will support the CenturyLink Enterprise sales organization in a fast-paced environment and requires both marketing and sales expertise.
Develop, manage, and track results from a regional field marketing program budget and regional marketing plan.
Drive marketing programs starting with collaborating and planning with our programs team, to scheduling, to communication, to execution, to enablement and through results tracking.
Develop and execute communications plans to ensure that Sales is aware of marketing programs, product launches, sales enablement activities, and other top priorities.
Ensure adoption and participation in marketing campaigns and the related use of marketing automation tools by sales professionals; develop and deliver actions plans for improvement in adoption as needed.
Manage a formal feedback process to provide field input on programs and promotions to product and segment marketing teams.
Drive lead generation activities to increase lead conversion rates (i.e., conversion of leads into sales funnel opportunities) to meet overall revenue targets. Pilot new demand generation programs.
Track lead generation results using Salesforce.com. Communicate these results, identify and address issues affecting prompt follow-up on leads and/or lead quality concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement to sales and marketing leadership.
Participate in and/or lead special projects on an as-needed basis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with comfort levels interfacing with executives
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years’ progressive marketing and other work experience
Experience managing multiple vendor relationships
Strong analytical skills and comfort with developing and supporting marketing metrics and reporting on measures of success such as Program ROI
Experience developing and managing a marketing budget
Verbal and written communication skills appropriate for supporting Regional Sales VP and presenting to C-Level customers & prospects of organizations with 500 employees.
Proven track record of successfully partnering with and supporting sales management
Experience with developing integrated, multi-touch marketing plans including lead generation programs
Experience with technology marketing
Experience with sales and marketing automation systems Salesforce.com and Marketo
Strong team player with a positive attitude
Technical sales, sales engineering, or product management experience strongly preferred
Sales management experience preferred
Quota-bearing sales experience or equivalent
Masters or Equivalent
Bachelors or Equivalent
