The role of the International Tax Manager assists International VPs and the International Directors with business analyses, policies and procedures, compliance, reporting, and tax planning associated with international tax of Dentsply Sirona.  The Manager should have a working knowledge of US international tax concepts, including but not limited to, Section 245A, GILTI, FDII, Section 250, Section 163(j), Subpart F, anti-hybrid rules under 245A(e) and 267, and BEAT.  Additionally, the Manager should stay abreast on current international tax updates, such as the OECD’s BEPS initiative, EU Anti-Tax Avoidance Directives I&II, and non-U.S. income tax legislative changes.  The Manager will assist the International Directors for reporting the international tax impacts of Dentsply’s global operations on its U.S. Federal Income Tax Return and its quarterly tax provisions that are recorded in the Company’s financial statements.  Functionally, the breakdown of the Manager’s time, in percent, is approximately, 55% compliance, 35% provision, and 10% other tax work.
Tax Accounting:
Review assigned foreign tax packages on a quarterly basis for the Company’s quarterly and annual income tax provision process
Assist International Tax Director with the identification and mitigation of potential tax exposure on international tax matters; including, but not limited to quarterly review for new, current, and potential release of uncertain tax positions related to foreign locations.  Additionally, maintain and retain proper documentation associated to the Company’s uncertain tax positions related to international tax matters
Assist International VPs and International Directors with the preparation and review of quarterly estimated US international tax calculations; examples are GILTI, BEAT, Subpart F, FDII, etc. 
Assist International Director, Tax Reporting on SOX documentation and compliance
Assist International Director, Tax Reporting, on document requests from external auditors
Mentor team members, especially International Sr. Tax Associates
Stay abreast on changes to current tax legislation and consider potential effects on Dentsply
Assist with additional provision requests on an ad-hoc basis
Assist with the preparation and review of various tax calculations for the tax return of Dentsply, including the international tax provisions of the Tax Cuts and Job Acts (“TCJA”)
Assist with the preparation and/or review of the following forms and supporting documentation: 
Foreign Tax Credit – Corporations – Form 1118
Information Return of U.S. Persons with Respect to Certain Foreign Corporations – Form(s)5471
Information Return of U.S. Persons with Respect to Foreign Disregarded Entities – Form(s) 8858
Limitation on Business Interest Expense under Section 163(j) – Form 8990
Tax on Base Erosion Payments of Taxpayers with Substantial Gross Receipts – Form 8991
U.S. Shareholder Calculation of Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income (GILTI) – Form 8992
Section 250 Deduction for Foreign-Derived Intangible Income (FDII) and Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income (GILTI) – Form 8993
Country by Country Report – Form 8975
Additional Tax Forms such as, Form 1042 – Annual Withholding Tax Return for U.S. Source Income of Foreign Persons and FBAR reporting
Assist in the calculation and review of transfer pricing adjustments and the development of supporting documentation of the Company’s transfer pricing policy
Assist with additional compliance requests on an ad-hoc basis
Assist International VPs and International Directors with international tax planning including, but not limited to, conducting tax research and assisting with special projects
Assist International VPs and International Directors in international tax audits to help minimize assessments within the constraints of the factual situation and tax law, regulation, and rulings
Assist International VPs and International Directors with the coordination and liaison among the locations, advisors, and other Dentsply employees to ensure information and responses are provided timely, efficiently, accurately, and in a prudent manner
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
CPA preferred, but not required
Advanced degree (MST, JD/LLM) preferred, but not required
Years and Type of Experience:
6 or more years of progressive tax experience, preferably with at least three year focused on international taxation
Multinational Corporation Experience
Experience with Big 4 accounting firm preferred, but not required
Experience with a tax preparation software, OneSource is preferred, but not required
Experience with analytic tools, such as Alteryx or Power BI, preferred but not required
Experience with project management
