Summary:

Facebook is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join the Business Education team at Facebook. Business Education is a global training team that designs content to educate small businesses, agencies, marketing partners, and advertisers on how to meet their business goals using the Facebook family of apps and services. The Business Education team is entrepreneurial-minded and dedicated to delivering the ultimate learning experiences for partners across multiple channels. Our mission is to democratize scaled education for businesses big and small. Business Education creates the Blueprint learning content and has three pillars: Online (eLearning: online courses), In-Person (Live and Spotlight: interactive in-person workshops), and Certification (proctored exams that test advanced-level competency in Facebook advertising). The Instructional Designer will be a vital part of creating content for our new training programs and supporting to maintain the content with regular updates. The individual will work internally with teams across the Facebook organization to curate training content, explore new training methods, and build both ILT and eLearning education solutions to serve small businesses, agencies, and marketing partners. Required Skills:

Work directly with partners and internal stakeholders to understand and characterize learning needs
Become the expert for a range Facebook products and translate technical content into layman's terms
Curate wide range of existing training content to build meaningful learning paths
Design, develop, and deliver engaging, informative, and visually compelling eLearning
Training facilitators how to deliver ILT sessions that promote engagement and collaboration and utilize best practices
Develop high-quality impactful learning interventions and experiences in both web-based and instructor-led environments
Continually work to ensure all training materials are consistent and up-to-date and in line with products and larger training goals and initiatives
Build relationships with key cross-functional partners to understand how your content is being received and engaged within market and take action based on feedback
Stay up to date with training and education trends — always look for new ways to us to remain innovative and effective in democratizing education

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Journalism, or related field
6 years of experience in curriculum design or educational content development for ILT and eLearning
Knowledge of Instructional design best practice models, adult learning theories and behavioral-based learning objectives
Experience in delivering training and designing training in a traditional face to face classroom
Experience in leveraging eLearning technologies to create eLearning
Experience in managing and delivering multiple projects at one time
Consulting, relationship-management, and project management experience
Interpersonal communication and problem-solving experience
Experience with visual design (primarily in PowerPoint and InDesign)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with certifications programs and creating exam questions
Experience with digital marketing and advertising teams and agencies
