Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Installation Engineer to join our team and provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing engineering designs.
Performing site surveys to create Bills of Material (BoM) and Labor for project installation efforts.
Documenting required deviations to planned installation design drawings.
Coordinating across teams to document and validate accuracy of installation plans.
Infrastructure design for complex projects.
Working with systems engineers to understand feature requirements and develop infrastructure design approaches to problems.
Lending expertise and institutional knowledge to improve the overall excellence of the team by developing the creation of Knowledge Articles, Work Instructions, SOPs, etc.
Creating briefings and providing weekly and/or monthly status reports.
Coordinating and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Attending customer meetings and providing installation subject matter expertise to ensure installation plans meet requirements.
Identifying opportunities to automate processes and increase efficiency.
Leading and managing teams of more junior technicians as required.
Coaching and reviewing the work of less-experienced professionals.
Meeting contractual performance criteria.
Flexibility to support 24x7 operations; may need to work extended hours during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests.
Local travel may be required between customer buildings.
High school diploma plus 12 or more years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Ability to use independent judgement.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint).
Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.
Construction Safety and Health Officer (OSHA) Certification.
Prior experience leading a team.
Associate’s Degree or higher.
ITIL® v3 Foundation, or higher, certification.
IAM Level III certification.
Experience with ServiceNow ITSM.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active and current TS/SCI with polygraph.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices 50%.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Must be able to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
