The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Automotive OEM Coatings financial analysis, planning and reporting activities. This person is expected to report financial status by preparing and analyzing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, perform LRP and BSR activities, and track and monitor capital spending. This position will support the global Automotive Operations Team as well as the Global Product Management Team by performing various analyses aimed at improving business decision making.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES – Development and analysis of financial models.Manage financial models used for PPG’s core requirements and deliverables, including the monthly Controller’s meeting, the BSR financial projections, and the SBU annual plan.Prepare and analyze financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) for management reporting while ensuring financial and operating controls are in compliance with Corporate and group requirements.Drive process improvement in the Capital Spending tracker system, including improvement of estimating accuracy and capital spending reporting to the manufacturing team.Drive cost reductions actions through manufacturing data analysis, including manufacturing controllable cost, variance analysis and SSPL tracking.Consolidate and analyze global business unit financial forecasts and management reports.Prepare weekly headline and financial variance reports.Support the Senior Management team in the preparation of monthly executive presentations.Actively participate in process improvement efforts to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal processes.Lead the estimate and analysis process for Cash Flow for Automotive OEM Coatings.Prepare the monthly and quarterly headcount and productivity reports for Automotive OEM Coatings.
','!*!Requires: This position requires a high degree of organizational and interpersonal skills, financial policy and procedure knowledge and good business sense to analyze, interpret, recommend and control with the objective of effectively utilizing assets and improving profitability. A degree in business administration is highly desirable and at least three years of experience in similar positions. Travel requirements are approximately 10%.
