Director Global Business Services
his Leadership position you have two primary roles within the Dentsply Sirona organization as the leader of the GBS finance organization (with the majority of the team located in Slovakia) and as the site Leader of the Shared Services Center in Slovakia.
GBS Finance Leader
Provide leadership and operational direction to the GBS F&A organization by ensuring the GBS teams understand the mission for the GBS F&A organization and align the priorities of the team to support those of the business units.
Acting as important point of contact and resolution for escalated operational business concerns and a proactive review cadence with the business units served within the GBS Centers of key metrics and areas targeted for improvement initiatives is a key responsibility.
Develop delivery strategies and performance metrics that ensure that the GBS F&A organization support the objectives of the business units related to operational performance and cost improvement.
Lead the regional GBS Regional Managers, GBS Project Management Leaders, and GBS Operational Excellence Team to define and implement standardized processes which improve business performance, respect local legistrative requirements, and maintain our financial control environment.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with GBS F&A customers and stakeholders
Establish a service performance methodology and meeting schedule with the business units to review performance via data driven metrics, identify opportunities for service improvement, and identify opportunities for service expansion.
Following our transition methodology, implement the Company’s strategy to transfer the in-scope finance and accounting work from the business units to the lobal delivery service centers
Proactively seek out opportunities to expand the reach of the GBS F&A organization through expanding the locations it supports and the services it offers.
Develop and review the financial budgets and forecasts for the GBS F&A organization and support other GBS functions in the development and review of their financial budgets is expected.
Bratislava Site responsibilities:
Implement and maintain an overall governance model that ensures proactive engagement and collaboration with the other established GBS functions located within the service centers such as the Human Resources, Corporate Audit, Internal Controls, Supply Chain, Information Technology.
Understanding and supporting the strategic direction of these functions to achieve the Company goals is a key expectation of this role and continual collaboration with the leaders of these functions is necessary to ensure appropriate alignment
Promote and encourage desired organizational culture and core values.
Demonstrate commitment to open communication in an effort to fully participate in organizational problem-solving, decision making and strategic planning.
Provide support, oversight, and direction to the SSC ensuring adequate staffing and optimal operation in accordance with DS vision and strategy
Advise, negotiate, manage, and administer contracts into which the organization may enter.
Oversee and advise the organization of all legal matters.
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting or other related required, Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration is preferred.
A minimum of ten (10) years related experience, including expertise in all facets of financial controls and financial reporting.
Previous working at the headquarters of an international, US listed, manufacturing company is essential.
Experience with leading teams is a must and experience with leading other functions besides finance preferred
