The Director of Pricing evaluates the strategic implications of channel dynamics and ecosystem changes, using these insights to identify value-creating opportunities, and develop innovative pricing strategies for Dentsply Sirona brands over their entire product life cycle. S/he is accountable to the Dentsply Sirona brand marketing team for being the expert on creating pricing strategies and leading the corresponding value-creating activities. S/he utilizes a deep understanding of Dentsply Sirona’s portfolio, profitability objectives, customer profiles, and the business environment to analyze pricing scenarios and formulate innovative pricing models. S/he is a key member of the Marketing team and brings a strong analytical mindset and skills to aid in account and channel specific access strategy development. The Director is responsible for identifying and evaluating creative and innovative pricing approaches in consideration of the evolving access landscape.
Essential Functions: 
Optimize return on investment (ROI) on the full ‘Gross to Net Sales’ customer-incentive portfolio, which is a key driver of our Net Sales 
Launch and refine DS Points Plus, the DS-wide loyalty program 
Integrate One DS and convert other rewards programs into the loyalty program 
Help lead the re-write of our dealer agreements
Initiate or redefine customer segment-specific commercial programs, for example:
                   a. Create a hybrid tiered / contract pricing model for DSOs 
                   b. Aggregate, align, and redeploy university, graduate, and student preferred pricing programs 
                   c. Investigate need to refine other segments (e.g. Government, hospitals, labs, retail customers, etc.)
Launch and refine tiered pricing structure to the direct businesses 
                  a. Disciplined ASP management with established price floors
                  b. Aligned new customer and current customer schemes that rewards volume and/or ‘share of chair’
Implement periodic list price refinements, coordinating with Product Group and Commercial marketing functions
Test alternative pricing (e.g. subscription, software-as-a-service) and payment (e.g. equipment & bundle financing) models to meet customer needs and maximize customer lifetime value
Ensure consistency between list prices, etc. in US vs. Canada
Aggregate, categorize, and quantify all current pricing, promotion, and loyalty programs
                  a. Define ongoing data gather loop to ensure visibility to the quantification of these programs on an ongoing basis
Harmonize promotion review processes, define criteria needed for review, and move to a quarterly cadence. For business/brand-specific promotions:
                  a. Marketing team owns request
                  b. CSP owns analysis (with help from Finance), portfolio management, discussion (with Marketing/Sales leadership), and decision making
Drive process creation for gathering, analyzing, and acting on promotion campaign results
                 a. Develop reporting with Sales Ops that Sales Ops will own
                b. Leveraging these reports, own the analysis, discussion, and recommendations on indicated actions
Harmonize / define customer-specific review processes (direct and DSO), define criteria needed for review, and outline a defined cadence for review
Education/Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school; 5 to 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
MBA preferred
Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Business analysis and planning experience preferred
Experience in business planning and project management
Experience in departmental administration and supervision of other employees and project management
Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:
Communication skills: Experience with distilling complex concepts or processes into digestible insights and actions for various levels.
Problem Solving & Analytical Orientation: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills that are used to track,
analyze, interpret, and report key metrics, trends, and financial results. Able to take “deep dive” into the details of the business while staying focused on the big picture. Takes a systematic, structured view of situations, deconstructing them into their fundamental elements. Insists on proof in data, peeling back layers to understand root causes, and uses data to anticipate/project emerging issues, drive innovation, and support business decision-making.
Results Oriented: Results oriented, including the capacity to both think strategically and execute tactically, embodying a blend of technical, creative, business, and communications skills. Advanced analytical and business evaluation skills.
A solid understanding of the sales and marketing process
Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of information collected and shared
Knowledge in the design of reports and reporting strategies
High degree of integrity and ethics
Knowledge of policies and practices involved in personnel/human resources functions
Knowledge of the methods and procedures involved in strategic business planning and management; knows the organization’s markets and products, key business process, distribution channels, key suppliers and industry competition
Ability to influence others in a positive way and gain a group consensus
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
