Job Description
Job Summary:
This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.  This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities.  LCMC/Touro Infirmary reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet organizational needs as necessary.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Database Coordinator serves a vital role in the fundraising work of the Touro Infirmary Foundation and has the responsibility of managing all aspects of the donor database thereby insuring the accuracy and integrity of the data including data hygiene and enrichment, gift processing, reconciling and reporting.
POSITION DUTIES:
Database Management
Coordinate all aspects of the database including: posting/acknowledging gifts, updating records, updating actions, generating reports, analyzing data, working with database vendor, implementing all import/export projects, coordinating all data cleansing projects.
Control/code table maintenance including managing appeals, funds, campaigns and other system coding.
Data Support
Provide support related to donor lists/reports for events, annual giving, direct mail projects, major gifts, and planned giving prospects.
Develop and review all data management, data processing, and systems that promote and support donor prospect strategies and goals. Includes the timely movement and tracking of donor prospects through the pipeline of evaluation and cultivation steps.
Perform all prospect research requests and documentation.
Assist Foundation staff to identify what data they wish to capture and record in Raisers Edge and assist the Foundation Staff in determining the best structure.
Creating, testing and implementing of standard queries which Raiser's Edge users can run at their discretion as well as queries to ensure the integrity of the database in a timely and efficient manner.
Developing MS Excel spreadsheets tools to manipulate data where Raiser's Edge tools are insufficient.
Provide general support for fundraising staff. Keep abreast of the fundraising and database fields through appropriate list-serves, blogs, websites, publications, webinars and conferences/seminars, and share with other development staff.
General Administrative Support
Serve as front office support to ensure all office tasks are accomplished which includes but not limited to — being responsible for all outgoing and incoming mail, greeting guests, answer phones, delivering messages to appropriate staff, etc.

2 years of relevant experience in non-profit organization working on donor database
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree
Training:
Required:
Donor database experience. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge products such as NXT, Events module, Online Express and Merchant Services a plus
Preferred:
Certification or advanced training in database desired. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge
Special Skills:
Required:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to explain highly technical concepts and processes clearly to team members
Must be detail-oriented and a problem solver
Strong individual work ethic, as well as a team player
Understanding of development fundamentals, healthcare fundraising a plus
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and/or projects simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure
