Customer Support Chemist','JOBREQ1800090839','United States of America-Ohio-Cleveland-USA - Cleveland Plant','Automotive OEM Coatings','Full-time','','Apr 21, 2023','!*!As a Customer Support Chemist, you will support specific technologies as part of a team managing products for multiple Auto OEM customers. You will be recognized as an expert in coatings technology and color.
Key Responsibilities
Independently lead new color development and approval through the process for multiple customers.
Manage color development hand-off of color matches from Color Core team to DCS teams.
Set up testing matrices for customer specification testing and other experimental designs for product confirmations and customer approval.
Create formulas in ERP systems.
Manage custom or special projects created to address customer requests and line / production issues.
Establish best practices for color program management and hand-off protocols from design through NPI.
Use statistical analysis DOE tools to implement strategic product development plans.
You will need to collaborate to ensure color launches OTIF.

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical Engineering
At least 3 years of overall experience
At least 3 years of experience with IT tools (GSM, RMT, NPD) and willingness to develop and support standard process will be important for success.
