Customer Service Consultant - Technical','JOBREQ1800051102','Australia-Victoria-Clayton-AUS - Clayton Plant','Country Shared Svc Supp MSC','Full-time','','Oct 11, 2021','!*!As a Technical Customer Service Consultant at PPG you will be required to provide Technical support to our Automotive, Refinish, Industrial & Protective Marine Coatings business units. You will work within a dedicated team to help our customers & PPG Businesses to achieve their goals by providing an accurate, timely & supportive service at all times. This is a permanent opportunity based within our Clayton Manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a pro-active, professional and specialised service by the receipt, processing and releasing of customer orders and credits, ensuring the customers’ delivery requirements are achieved and that all information processed is accurate and timely
Provide accurate and timely colour formulations as requested by PPG customers
Establish proactive contact and interaction with PPG customers & provide accurate information on stock availability and delivery enquiries as appropriate
Maintain close liaison with the Production and Warehouse teams in order to facilitate the provision of customer satisfaction
Convey all other customer enquiries onto appropriate PPG personnel located at Head Office or State Offices as appropriate
Assist customers with any technical query they may have in a clear & concise manner



A formal qualification in spray painting / application is essential to assist our customers in resolving any technical matters
A proven understanding of Automotive, Industrial and/or Protective Coatings and their application method
Strong communication and excellent customer service skills, even better if you've had prior experience within a call centre environment
Availability to work until 6.30pm Mon - Fri as and when required
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word packages is desirable
Comprehension of SAP ERP system as well as Production and Distribution functions is also an added bonus!
