The Account
Credit Manager, Stores, is a highly visible role within the credit organization
and will be responsible for managing all aspects of Architectural Coatings
Stores Credit throughout the United States and Canada.  Additionally, the Account Credit Manager,
Stores will be responsible for leading and developing a staff of direct and
indirect exempt reports. 


Coaching the team to develop their
knowledge and skills, and providing clear feedback on performance and areas of
developmental need.Interacting with a wide variety of
internal and external individuals, including the business Vice President and
senior sales management in order to: Contribute to the profitability of the business
by approving optimum credit limits; developing effective customer relationships
and developing effective high-level collection and credit strategies.Formulating and presenting detailed
analysis of receivable performance information to the SBU channel in order to
highlight the impact of receivable collections on working capital Working closely with business management
to develop and recommend appropriate strategies for managing high-risk and high
exposure accounts.Developing strategies for minimizing
exposure for those customers determined to be bad debt risks.  When necessary, determine the effect of such
customers on the bad debt reserves. 
Also, recommend the write-off of those transactions deemed uncollectible
on a monthly basis.Translating high level vision
and strategy into clear objectives and drive toward completion of those
objectives Driving the adoption of and encouraging
others to adopt new methods or technologies that add value or improve
performance, related to Stores Credit.Managing Stores budget and adhering to
Financial and SOX policies and procedures.Managing customer record migrations as a
result of acquisitions, as necessary, which may vary in size.


Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting
or related field of study requiredA Minimum of 5 years of credit related experience
requiredAbility to coach others and develop
their knowledge and skillsAbility to give clear feedback on
performance and areas of developmental needAbility to understand and apply accounting
policies and procedures related to Credit/Accounts Receivable.Ability to effectively analyze various
types of financial information and reach sound conclusionsAbility to effectively communicate and
interact with all levels of the business unit management to achieve the best
possible resultsAn effective communicator, forceful when
necessary yet tactfully persuasiveAbility to lead and conduct financial
and credit related meetings with senior SBU management and external customersAbility to effectively
negotiate with customers in a high stress environmentStrong excel and data analysis skillsAbility to Travel 20% as necessaryPreferred:Working knowledge of SAP ReceivablesExperience working with commercial
collection regulations and mechanics lien lawsRetail Credit Experience
