Analyzes and supports costing activities for Aerospace products in the United States and Canada, including Huntsville, Sylmar, Mojave as well as other facilities.
Performs variance analysis between actual and standard cost, weekly variance reporting and the completion of production reports.
Responsible for inventory/costing month-end closing cycle and all accompanying journal entries.
Completes the monthly inventory and reserve account reconciliations in accordance with company internal controls.
Provides input and support annual budget cycle, which includes: calculation of yields, production times, required raw materials, operational budgets, and cost reduction targets for the next year.
Works directly with manufacturing teams to advise on actual and targeted performance based on financial costing data.
Responsible for the completion of yearly standard revision based on standards developed during budget cycle.
Ensures that all internal controls are maintained at the required PPG / SOX level and completes other ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Supports projects within the Global Business Financial Support group and manufacturing sites as required.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a finance or accounting related field of study, is required.
A minimum of 2 years’ of previous work experience in finance or accounting is required
5 years of previous experience in finance or accounting preferred..
Professional accounting qualifications and/or previous product costing experience is desirable.
Must possess overall business understanding, and act as a business partner to the manufacturing facilities.
The ability to interpret and understand competitive financial information, and prepare and justify financial analysis for new products, processes, or value-added functions is preferred.
The ability to present concise financial information both written and verbally is required.
