A quality assurance job includes responsibilities such as development of a system or a group of systems that would ultimately ensure that products and services are able to satisfy the requirements and expectations of a client. A quality assurance person is responsible for product & process audits, and for improved processes, quality of products & productivity.
A quality assurance job may require basic qualifications in a specialized field. A diploma in engineering or certification in quality assurance program may be an advantage. Experience of 4-5 years in quality department may be required for some positions. Skills required may include process control techniques, software engineering practices and methods, planning quality standards, technology transition, and analyzing process and documents. A quality assurance job requires a person to be well versed in the development and operation of quality control systems, analysis, and inspection procedures.
