The compliance supervisor plans, directs, coordinates, administers, and supervises the activities of the compliance section of the organization. The compliance supervisor also researches and enforces various sources of federal labor laws. The compliance supervisor reviews project specifications to determine scope of work and determines whether federal language is incorporated within the scope. He conducts meetings to provide technical assistance to contractors and city staff. The compliance supervisor schedules and performs field investigations to determine compliance and investigate violations. The compliance supervisor has to resolve labor disputes with contractors regarding the application of federal labor laws.
The compliance supervisor job candidate should at least have a bachelor\'s degree in public or business administration or a related field. Three years of experience in federal programs, contract compliance etc is also required.
