The compliance technician identifies functions and business practices requiring compliance activities and assists the compliance officer. He designs, develops, implements, and evaluates the compliance program and monitors its implementation. The compliance technician revises the compliance program in response to the changing needs of the organization, laws, and governmental policies. The compliance technician plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the compliance plan and the related activities to ensure they promote an institutional culture favorable to compliance. The compliance technician has to prepare, maintain and update a variety of capital project files, reports and correspondence related to compliance measures and objectives in view of the organization. He may also be responsible to enforce federal, state and city requirements for prevailing wage rates.
The compliance technician is required to have a bachelor\'s degree and about 2-3 years of experience in the legal field dealing with regulatory laws and standards.
