The compliance specialist assists in performing analysis of current situations and recommends compliance priorities in the near future. The compliance specialist identifies coding and billings risk areas, conduct focused reviews, and implement corrective action as needed. He also conducts routine internal audits of provider documentation on a timely basis. The compliance specialist collaborates with physicians and internal staff in development of improved capabilities in the areas of documentation, coding, and compliance. The compliance specialist reviews internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with appropriate federal and organizational policies. He also responds promptly to external and internal concerns and implementing corrective actions as and when appropriate.
The compliance specialist job position requires BA/BS and four years of administrative experience to acquire competence in applying compliance in the organization work-structure.
