A financial auditor manages audit assignments, communicates the various flaws and hurdles encountered in the process of auditing, ensures that quality and service standards are met, assists and works on the formulation and implementation of audit programs and policies. Financial auditors record audit conclusions and present them to the chief financial officer or the finance director. Such positions require travel to various organizational subdivisions.
A financial auditor should have a BS degree in accounting or finance. A CPA, CIA or active pursuit of the same may be an advantage. Prior experience working with leading financial companies or the Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
