Job Description
Responsibilities:
Implement and operate secure infrastructure for critical applications
Define infrastructure requirements for the implementation of new applications and projects
Work in collaboration with other departments or organizations to develop and analyze systems in support of their projects or mission, then upgrade or enhance the infrastructure to meet their requirementsÂ
Provide 3rd level technical support for complex production systems and servicesÂ
Lead projects and efforts that require specialized infrastructure skillsÂ
Work with the various project stakeholders to facilitate implementation and completion of the projectsÂ
Proactively monitor infrastructure for optimal performance and provide input for capacity planning and fine tune infrastructure when neededÂ
May act as project manager in area of expertiseÂ
Lead in the evaluation of new products and servicesÂ
May execute specific activities related to the improvement or performance of systems infrastructuresÂ
Identifies areas where existing policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed. Maintains all relevant documentationÂ
Participates in related industry organizations and special interest groupsÂ
Maintains relationships with 3rd party technical support engineers/teamsÂ
Rotating off hour on-call support requiredÂ
Limited travel required
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fieldÂ
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in IT Network Security
Experience with enterprise firewall technologiesÂ
Experience TCP/IP and common network protocolsÂ
Experience with Checkpoint & Fortinet firewalls, Cisco ASA VPN
Mid-level experience with DNS / Infoblox, Sourcefire IPS
Troubleshooting experienceÂ
