SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR - STRESS CENTER
La Porte, IN

Coordinates the Extensive Outpatient Program (EOP).
Works with Case Managers to provide substance abuse education for inpatients.
Provides psychotherapeutic services to individuals, couples and families relative to professional training, experience and realm of discipline. Previous clinical experience on psychiatric unit preferred. This candidate will need to be active in the continued development as well as marketing of the EOP program. Must be a self starter, ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision. Responsible for running groups, conducting assessments and processing insurance.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate of accredited school.
Licensure if required and currently registered as a professional in the State of Indiana.
Bachelor\'s in Nursing, Management or Master\'s Level
related field or working toward same at six (6) credit hours per year.
Certification CADAC/LCSW.
Minimum three (3) years experience substance abuse and addiction education which has provided opportunities to refine competencies in practice and leadership skills.
CPR certified.
Provides basic life support (CPR) in emergency situations.
Ability to be Code 13 trained.
Ability to function as team member in emergent behavioral situations.
