Job Description
We are looking for project managers (PM) for the implementation of SumTotal’s Workforce Management software for Enterprise Level clients. We need candidates that have recently implemented and / or are currently implementing Work Force Management / Human Resources / Payroll applications. This is a hands-on role that will challenge a candidate’s ability to implement and deliver technology at the enterprise level. Skills/Requirements The following key skills and experience are minimum requirements: 3 years of progressive consulting experience in a Professional Services organization with expert knowledge of consulting and implementation methodologies Ability to effectively consult with client project teams to develop detailed work breakdown structures, estimate resource requirements, structure client project teams, perform risk assessments, and assist with the development of project communication plans Proven track record of “problem-solving” skills Excellent communication skills – written and verbal Consistent and positive “can-do” attitude Proven experience in managing a project budget Can manage multiple projects at one time. Proven experience in managing project communication, including status reporting Can adapt well to work environment and is not hindered by operational difficulties or complexities Ability to work independently and to lead teams in collaboration Ability to maintain client satisfaction Ability to “read” a client relative to their experience and skills around software implementation and apply risk management strategies accordingly. Travel to client sites as required. Full implementation life-cycle experience specifying, deploying and using enterprise-wide Workforce Management, Human Resource and/or Payroll systems A general understanding of the technologies and architectures used for deploying web-based enterprise applications Excellent MS Project or equivalent skills and experience. Technically astute, including an understanding of Oracle and/or MS-SQL database concepts. The following skills, behaviors, and experience are A REAL PLUS: PMP Certification In-depth knowledge of Workforce Management, Human Resource and/or Payroll Administration policies, guidelines, and workflow for mid-sized and large organizations Experience with the configuration of calculations and functionality, in a software product, using generic parameters An understanding of web-based technologies such as JAVA, XML, WebLogic, etc. We are not looking for programmers; however an understanding is a plus. Identifies and shares new approaches to reduce project implementation timeline Identifies and communicates potential project risks to SumTotal executive leadership with recommendations to mitigate risk
