POSITION SUMMARY: Execute both long and short term Brand objectives relating to product-to-market for the launch of assigned projects with a goal of timeliness, cost effectiveness and inventory management. Coordinate new product development with all departments in the Supply Chain. Manage the development of all materials necessary to support new product introductions including samples, display and collateral.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the efficient and effective execution of new products and Marketing initiatives to the global marketplace. Develop and execute timelines through Timeline Management System (TLM) to support the Marketing Calendar achieving cross-functional acceptance from the appropriate Business Unit including Marketing, Packaging, Product Development, R&D, Creative, Brand Cost Management and Manufacturing. Input and maintain bills of material ensuring data accuracy and appropriate SAP flow (when applicable). Insure all milestones meet their due dates in order to achieve the Target Ship Date; drive the process end-to-end, negotiate with appropriate departments and resolve all timeline issues. Develop tactical plans when missed due dates occur to bring project back on track. Participate in regularly scheduled BU/Operations meetings to review projects with core project team (Marketing, Packaging, Brand Cost Management, Creative, Product Development, and R&D) and identify next action steps and decisions required by Senior Management in order to move programs forward. Identify and communicate all critical issues and appropriate next steps. Update Timeline Management system on a weekly basis to accurately reflect project status and keep brand on target to meet the TLM performance objectives. Act as liaison between Marketing, Manufacturing, Product Development, R&D, Packaging, Brand Cost Management and Creative in all areas relating to the product-to-market timeline. Review, update and resolve issues with Material and Resource Planning or SRP on new program progress. Monitor timelines for all launch support and manage merchandising / non-saleable elements from inception to final shipment (including disposition, i.e. EXOB). Review and approve all packaging artwork and insure corporate packaging guidelines are adhered to. Liaise with International markets or GPS colleagues about execution or service issues relating to new product introductions. Provide accurate new launch details for marketing flash Bulletins (product offerings) and execute forecast approvals through the International Marketing Website. Maintain all code master file information within DRP. Communicate and resolve issues relating to the global and market-specific marketing calendars. Assist in the preparation of preliminary cost information for new products; investigate / resolve cost issues with focus factories. Coordinate with Regulatory on all issues regarding product registration and communicate with markets regarding their new launch needs. Work with R&D, Packaging and Creative to provide registration lab samples and comps to meet local registration deadlines.
','!*! Minimum of (5) years of Marketing Services, Manufacturing or Marketing experience in cosmetics or a related industry. College/University degree required. Must be an excellent team player with strong analytical, negotiating and communication skills. Excellent follow up and organizational skills required. Must possess the ability to multi-task, establish priorities and yet be flexible in an ever-changing environment. Ability to use computer systems necessary to meet department objectives including Excel, Word, SAP, IBM, AMAPS, AS400, On Line Costing, EXOB, Global Coding, PDS, TLM, CPMS and IMW.
