The national unemployment rate moved up another .4 percent in October to a 25 year high of 10.2 percent. Employers cut more jobs than forecast, nudging the number up further than had been expected. Construction and manufacturing jobs continue to show the largest declines.
The news isn’t all grim, however. The rate of new unemployment claims continues to slow, with the week ending October 31 showing the fewest new claims since January 3rd. The economy expanded in the 3rd quarter for the first time in over a year.
The news comes on the heels of congressional approval of another 20 week extension of unemployment benefits.
I found a job through your site! Hound is unquestionably the best Internet job search engine and well-worth the sign-up fee. I found more relevant and unadvertised jobs that fit my criteria and specifications on Hound than other job search databases. I think your service is great and I have referred several friends to the site. Keep up the good work!

Hound is an amazing place to search for jobs and careers stress free. Unlike other sites that just show the same old jobs day after day,Hound shows a wealth of new and little-known jobs that I could never have found before! Hound saved my career and I would recommend it to anyone who is currently out of work or just looking for a change in their career!
